Double fisting it...

Olivia really likes her cocoa.  (Just in case you couldn't tell...)
She realized she had both sippy cups in the fridge the other day
and went to town!  She takes her cocoa drinking very very seriously!

Even when she was done, she wouldn't take them out of her mouth.
Guess you can't get too much of a good thing, right?

Olivia-isms

Have you ever seen a kid who likes to wear Spaghetti in her hair?  I have...
Or a kid who 'seeds' her green beans?  That's right.. she'll eat all
the seeds out of the middle, and leave the yummy greens to someone else.
Or a kid who prefers to wear her sunglasses upside down?
At least she looks adorable doing it!

Olivia definitely keeps us guessing as to what she's going to do next... And we LOVE it!

Pregnant cravings...

Yup... There you have it folks.  This is what my baby is craving.  It's so funny the differences between my two pregnancies.  With Olivia, all I wanted was strawberries, veggies, chocolate milk, more strawberries and other 'good for you' food!  With this child I'm carrying now... Almost completely the opposite.  Now.. I haven't given in to ALL of my cravings, but after making this post, I might just have to.  Wish me luck!
Now I have to go make lunch because I just made myself VERY VERY HUNGRY!

Blogs that I love...

My friend, Jerilyn, recently "heart attacked" me.  I was honored to find out that my blog is one of her top 7 that she likes to read.  Isn't that cool? (Here I thought I was just babbling senseless ramblings for myself...)  Anyway, there's more than just bragging rights to this cool award.  I get to now list 7 of my favorite blogs to read, and encourage them to pass on the love...  So, here goes....

First, the "rules": 1.  The winners put the sticky sticker of uber stickiness up on their blog to say, "Look at me!  Look at me!  I'm Cool!... or at least someone else thinks so!"  2.  Then they get to link back to me.  3.  Then they get to nominate 7 of their own winners!  Spread the love! 4.  Then leave a little note on the chosen blogs so they aren't left in the dark.

Here are my picks:  (Choosing only 7 was really really hard for me)

1.  Brad Morris: Ok, besides the fact that he's my hot and sexy husband, (no bias here), the man makes me laugh every time I read his blog.  I'm amazed at just how funny he is, and how insightful he is.  If you've never checked out his blog, you really should.
2.  Robyn Kent:  I love to hear what totally grosses Robyn out, and how cute her kids are, and how they spent General Conference in a hunting blind.  She can make me laugh on a bad day, or make me look 'inside myself' more often... But most of all, I like her made up songs, and I'm anxiously waiting for more...
3.  Ashley Talbot: I love to read Ashley's thoughts, see her amazing 'picnic'd' photos, and read how many times she uses the word 'troll' in her posts.  I always get a good laugh or come away with deep thoughts when I read her blog.  She inspires me to be a runner one day also.
4.  Sarah Nelson: I think Sarah is a 'super blogger'.  Seriously.  She has some of the most amazing ideas and posts I've ever seen.  I love how she teaches her daughters, and what creative ideas she comes up with.  She inspires me to be a better mother.
5.  Sara Hodges: This is my little sister.  You should check out her blog.  She's an amazing mom. It's fun to see how she's raising her 3 year old twins.  Not only that, but she works full time and stays really busy.  So busy in fact, that she doesn't post as much as I'd like her to.  I think she should change that!  :)
6.  Jenn Douglas:  This is my sister-in-law.  Jenn is another amazing mom.  I think she has more energy than anyone I know.  She has the cutest little boy, Cooper.  She does wonderful things to help him be the best kid.  I think she needs to post more also...  maybe this will be a good enough hint for both her and Sara.  :)
7.  Samantha Morris:  This is my niece.  She's going to school at SUU.  She's an amazing artist and really cool chicka!  When I read her blog, it takes me back to my own college days.  I love reading about her fun experiences and remembering my own.

There you have it.  I honestly could list so many more blogs... I'm truly addicted to reading all your blogs.  But, I'll start with these, and see who gets tagged next.  Hope you enjoy their blogs as much as I do!

Oh No!

It is a very sad, sad day.  I am convinced we are in a recession if THIS can happen.
That's right.  Mother's cookies are being discontinued.  No more frosted yumminess.
I'd better go buy all the bags I can and hope they have a long shelf life.

Simple joys...

This is how happy Olivia was after being given a balloon.
It was a good reminder to me to enjoy the little things and simple joys in life.

Voice Male CD

For those Voice Male fans out there, listen up!  The guys have put out a new CD, featuring all kid's music.  They sound fantastic!  I'm so excited to get this CD.  But before I go out and buy one, I'm going to see if I can win one here.  So, check it out.  Follow the link, and sign up on the comments.  I miss the good old days at USU seeing these guys perform.  They are friends of mine, which make the memories even better.  Hope you enjoy the music as much as I did.  You can also check out their website at www.voicemalemusic.com.

Just too funny...

Maybe Disneyland isn't the happiest place on earth after all?!

First Snow!

We had our first snow of the year today.
I don't know if I'm happy or sad about it.
I do know that Olivia was ECSTATIC about it!
This is her building her first snowman.
Cute little guy looks a little dilapidated...  But, she's pleased with him.
Daddy and I thought we'd help her make a bigger snowman,
or "Frosty" as she kept calling him.
Olivia giving some 'loves' to Frosty!
One final picture with Frosty before we all headed back inside to warm up.

Ugh...

This is exactly how I feel about the government lately.  Give me a break!  Honestly people! Quit poking jabs at each other, quit lying about each other.  Quit telling me what you have done in the PAST.  I don't really care about that stuff right now.  Tell me what you plan to do to FIX this problem we are in NOW!  That's the answers we need.  Don't lie to us.  We know it's going to take a while to right the wrongs.  But here's a novel idea...  How about bringing back some accountability and integrity to Washington?  I think our forefathers are rolling over in their graves when they see what has become of our great nation!  I know I would be.  So... please.  I ask of you... Quit telling me what you THINK I want to hear, and tell me what I NEED to hear!

Grandmas are friends too...

Last night after Brad and I had put Olivia to bed, she started calling out for Brad.  So, he went back in to tuck her in again.
As he was sitting by her bed talking to her for a while, the following conversation took place.

Brad:  "Olivia, it's time to go to sleep.  You know that dada loves you, and mama loves you,
and Papa loves you, and Heavenly Father loves you, and Jesus loves you."

Olivia:  "And Grandma?"

Brad:  "Yes, and Grandma too."

Olivia:  "I wanna see my friend, Grandma."

Yes Olivia, BOTH of your Grandma 'friends' love you very very much.
Along with a lot of other people too!

Meet Brad's parents.

I bet you can't guess who this red headed devil is...
Yes, it's my amazing husband, Brad, when he was
just a little guy.  Isn't he cute? I love the suit.
I'm so blessed to be married to this man.

Although many of you might think this is Brad,
it really isn't.  This is Brad's father, Alex.  When
I wonder what Brad will look like as he gets older,
I just have to look at pictures of Alex.  Isn't he dreamy?
I love the argyle socks.  So hip!  Alex is a very strong
and able man.  I've learned so many good things about
him.  I see many of his traits in Brad.  I can see why he
is a hero to so many of his children.

This amazing woman is Elizabeth.  This is Brad's mother.
I've never been able to meet either of Brad's parents.
They have both passed on before I joined the family.
I have such respect for both of them, but especially for this gentle lady.
She raised NINE CHILDREN!  She is an amazing mom.
She is a great cook.  And from everything I've learned about
her, she is and always has been an ANGEL.

I anticipate the day I get to meet these two amazing people who have played such an important part of my life.  That's kind of weird to say, but it's true.  My husband is the man he is today because of his good parents and their love for him.  I am anxious to tell them thank you for raising such a kind hearted and good man.   Thank you Alex and Elizabeth!

"Chill Out"

This is what I found when I opened my fridge yesterday.  I asked Olivia why her doggie, two sticks, baby and pj bottoms were in my fridge.  She told me, "They went night night mama. Sshhh.  They night night."  Don't worry.  They got a long 4 hour, completely undisturbed nap in the chill of the refridgerater.  Puts a new spin on the phrase, "Chill out" doesn't it?
(Please don't judge me on how messy my fridge is.)
