Tagen's First Tooth

Tagen's first tooth broke through yesterday. It's been a long time coming... I have to say that for the tooth to

actually be breaking through the surface, she was only sad and irritable for about 20 minutes.

The rest of the day she was back to our happy-go-lucky-taking-the-world-in-stride Tagen.

There was a lot of this happening throughout the day... with a lot of drool...

And lots of me putting my fingers in her mouth to see if there was success yet...

(I love that she still has a smile on her face during the 'procedure')

And FINALLY... A TOOTH!

You can see the whiteness peeking through her gums.

A nice Surprise...

These showed up on my doorstep yesterday. My sweet husband sent them to me with the wish that "they might cheer up my day."

Well, they did! Thanks Brad! I love you!

So... Since I got my new camera, I've been taking A LOT of pictures.

I've been practicing a TON and my poor family and friends have been my test subjects.

This whole photography is really addicting. Thank goodness for the DIGITAL camera that lets you take a TON of pictures and see the results right now. I can't imagine how much this would be costing me if I had to have them all printed first to see how they turned out. We'd be broke!

Bear Lake Retreat...

We took a trip with Brad's family to Bear Lake this past weekend. His brother and sister-in-law had access to a FANTASTIC cabin in Harbor Village and invited us all to stay the weekend with them. We had such an incredible time with family. We're so grateful for the invite!

My Birthday

My birthday was last week and I GOT SPOILED! My loving husband surprised me with a brand new camera. We've had hopes of buying a new camera eventually, but he surprised me by getting it for my birthday. My birthday was on Labor day this year, and the camera store (Pictureline) was closed. So he actually went down on Tuesday morning to get it when they opened. I've had a great time playing with it this week.

So, here's pictures from my birthday BEFORE we got the new camera. Brad took Olivia birthday shopping in the morning. She demanded I have a chocolate cake, so we made that in the afternoon. Brad took me to see Transformers then we went to dinner at the Olive Garden. One of my favorites. The day was fabulous. I got to spend it with my little family and also got a date with my husband. Who could ask for more? Thanks Brad! I love you.

I had some good friends and family who remembered my birthday and their thoughtfulness added to the greatness of the day. So, a BIG thank you goes out to them also. I really appreciated them remembering.

Opportunist?

While our friend, Sarah, was moving out of our place this week,

Olivia took advantage of her things being on the front lawn and made herself at home...

She was pretty upset when she realized the pillows were going WITH Sarah in the move.

She was pretty happy with her 'new home' she had made out of them.
